American Literature
AP English Lit
English 12
English 10 is a full year course. During the year, students will read selections from the genres of the short story, poetry, drama, and the novel. They will also study vocabulary, composition, practical grammar, literature, and public speaking. Students will be responsible for writing in their journals, completing projects and giving oral presentations throughout the year. There will also be many opportunities for critical thinking and class discussions. Students will also work in the writing laboratory to facilitate the writing process and to create work that can be filed in their electronic portfolios.
