- Representative Poetry at the University of Toronto is a chronological list of poems era by era, but you can access the list by poet, by title, by first line, and by keyword. Pre-twentieth-century criticism about poetry is also available here, some in prose, some in verse.
- American Verse Project from the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Press is an electronic archive of 170 American poems written prior to 1920. Approximately half of the poets represented here are women.
- The eServer Poetry Collection specializes in classical poems but also lists a few original works, a poetry journal, and a few essays about poetry. The search engine on the page searches for any word match, not whole titles, if you ask it to find a poem. It also links to a few other poetry sites. ( 75+ entries)
- Atlantic Monthly Online - From 1857 to now, from poems by Emerson to Polish Nobel winner Wislawa Szymborska, read and maybe hear (Real Audio) poems and commentary.
