Precalculus

Algebra 2

Welcome to the Precalculus web page.

Precalculus prepares students to solve real-world problems using analytical and computational skills. Pre-Calculus topics include functions and their graphs, polynomial and rational functions, vectors, parametric equations, and matrices. The use of graphing calculators is incorporated throughout the course to prepare students for calculus and other advanced mathematics. A balance of algebraic, graphical, numerical, and verbal methods is used to reinforce comprehension, problem solving and critical thinking skills. The course focuses on the mathematics placement criteria used at local universities and on the mathematics section of the SAT.
