About the Show
The play, by award-winning playwright Max Bush, pits the evils of corporate greed against the backdrop of an international love story. A Chinese girl, whose mother has disappeared amidst rumors of live organ transplants, befriends an American boy who has recently lost his father to cancer. Like a timeless myth, From Every Mountainside crosses the boundaries of geography, culture and race.

About the Playwright
 Max Bush is a freelance playwright and director whose plays are widely produced on professional, educational and amateur stages across the country. He's won many awards for his work including the Distinguished Play Award from AATE, the IUPUI National Playwrighting Competition, and Individual Artist Grants from Michigan Council for the Arts. He's been commissioned by the Nashville Academy Theatre, Emmy Gifford Theatre (Omaha), Lexington Children's Theatre, Honolulu Theatre for Youth, Karamu House (Cleveland), Hartford Children's Theatre, Portland High School (Michigan), Circle Theatre (Grand Rapids), and the Goodman/DePaul School of Drama (Chicago). Published plays include: Ghost of the River House, Ezigbo, The Spirit Child, The Crystal, The Boy Who Left Home to Find Out About the Shivers, Hansel and Gretel, Puss in Boots, Rapunzel, Chest of Dreams, The Adventure of Treasure Island, The Emerald Circle , Sarah and The Three Musketeers. In 1995, Meriwether Press published an anthology of 10 of his plays and the American Alliance for Theatre and Education awarded him the Charlotte Chorpenning Cup, for a nationally significant body of work for young audiences.
